Originally from Jamaica, where I worked an array of different jobs. I did everything from stocking shelves to climbing utility poles, even though I am terrified of heights.
I had my linesman certification in Jamaica as well.
Coming to the United States in 2014 on a work permit. I became a permanent resident and moved to the construction industry.
While still new to the industry, I truly enjoy it because I get to work with my hands and create things with a team. Building and creating is a passion of mine, so the change to the construction industry has been amazing.
For a hobby I make custom furniture for people. I can make basically anything from wood, but I seem to make a lot of bed/headboards and nightstands. This keeps me very busy outside of work, but it is worth it when I see my customers response to their custom furniture.
When I get some free time, I like to spend time with my family. For fun, we like to go on drives and look at the scenery.
For “me” time, I enjoy blowing off some steam and target shooting.
