Competency

In over 34 years of construction experience I have held positions as an apprentice carpenter, journeyman carpenter, foreman, general superintendent, project manager, and senior estimator and I have either worked on, supervised, estimated, or managed projects in automotive, education, healthcare, manufacturing, recreation, retail, education, community, restaurant, and office. I have extensive experience in plan and spec to design-bid-build and design-build delivery methods. In my career, I have been involved with projects over 220,000 square feet

One of my most extensive design builds was a major renovation for a global manufacturer. This 50,000 square foot project required major modifications such as overhaul of plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Despite the odds, we were able to complete the project within 6 months

I attended Ivy Tech Community College majoring in Building Construction Management

I hold an OSHA 10-hour certification along with OSHA certifications for industrial and rough terrain forklifts, and aerial work platforms

Fun Facts

I enjoy every aspect of construction but most of all I enjoy the relationships I have developed over my career

In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, target shooting, fishing, and camping

A fun fact about me is that I cannot go anywhere without looking at how something was constructed. I evaluate the quality and estimate how much it cost to construct. Early on in my career this really irritated my wife and kids
